artie lange page 6

NY Post’s PageSix.com always seems to be a day late and a dollar short with their Artie Lange related stories. Artie mentioned on the air the other day that he was approved to go overseas to entertain the troops. The New York Post’s Page Six writes about yesterday’s walk-off on Howard Stern, where sidekick Artie Lange stormed off the set after a dispute with his assistant:

Shock jock Howard Stern was finally left speechless yesterday after a brawl erupted inside his Sirius Satellite studio between his hard-partying sidekick Artie Lange and Lange’s assistant, Teddy, which ended with Lange’s quitting the show. “Howard Stern Show” funnyman Artie Lange has been open about his battles with drugs and alcohol — so when he says he wasn’t drunk the day he was busted for DUI, we tend to believe him. Artie Lange, who’s long overindulged with drugs and drink, was scheduled to attend close pal Bob Saget’s Comedy Central roast on Sunday night, but never made it to LA. Instead, he checked himself into an intensive outpatient rehab program. A source said Lange “felt awful for not being there for Bob, but needed to make his health a priority.” Artie Lange, who’s long overindulged with drugs and drink, was scheduled to attend close pal Bob Saget’s Comedy Central roast on Sunday night, but never made it to LA. Footsteps in the dark

Errol Flynn is known mostly for swashbucklers as “The Adventures of Robin Hood”. He mostly played in action films and of course was always the hero. But here with “Footsteps in the Dark” with get something completely different from Flynn, a light comedy/mystery. Footsteps in The Dark Partners in Crime 3 By Josh Lanyon & Sarah Black Spy Something Bloody Espionage was always a game, but now British spy Mark Hardwicke wants to retire and settle down with ex-lover Dr. Stephen Thorpe — if Stephen will have him. Footsteps in the Dark: Greatest Hits Vol. 2 is a compilation album released by Cat Stevens in 1984 (see 1984 in music). Its fourteen songs include hits such as “Father and Son” and “Where Do the Children Play?” as well as two previously unreleased tracks from the Hal Ashby and Colin Higgins black comedy Harold and Maude (1971). “Footsteps in the Dark” is a 1977 slow jam recorded by The Isley Brothers as an album track featured on the group’s double-platinum album, Go For Your Guns. It was the B-side to “Groove with Me”, which reached #16 on the R&B singles chart. Synopsis: In an atypically nonhistorical role, Flynn plays investment consultant Francis Warren leading a double life as a suspense crime author. Playing detective at night to gather information for his… In Footsteps in the Dark, George Lipsitz illuminates these secret meanings, offering imaginative interpretations of a wide range of popular music genres from jazz to salsa to rock. Sweeping changes that only remotely register in official narratives, Lipsitz argues, can exist in vivid relief within popular music, especially when these changes occur outside mainstream white culture.

Alamo bowl score.

The Alamo Bowl is an annual post-season college football bowl game. Held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the game hosts teams from the Big Ten and Big 12 conferences. The 2008 Valero Alamo Bowl is the 16th annual game but only the 2nd annual game sponcered by Valero Energy Corporation.  This will be Missouri’s first time playing in the Valero Alamo Bowl, whereas the Northwestern team has played in the Alamo Bowl in 2000 against Nebraska. The 2002 MasterCard Alamo Bowl was another great contest, this time between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Wisconsin Badgers. With the score 28-28, Colorado had first possession in overtime. However, a 45-yard field goal attempt by Colorado’s Patrick Brougham was no good, and the ball changed hands. The 2006 Alamo Bowl Game was a college football bowl game, part of the 2006–2007 bowl season of the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Not to be confused with the modern Alamo Bowl, this version was contested only once: in 1947 at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio, Texas, contested between Hardin-Simmons University and University of Denver. The lack of attendance caused the game to be a financial failure and was not scheduled again. SAN ANTONIO – C.J. Bachér tied a Valero Alamo Bowl record with three touchdowns passes and threw for more than 300 yards, but No. 21 Missouri kicked a game-tying field goal late in the fourth quarter before defeating No. 23 Northwestern, 30-23. The last BTBS preview of the year.  Sniff.  Before I start getting verklempt, let’s just get started.  For visiting NU fans, check out this piece at Football Outsiders for my descriptions of what you’ll find in this piece.

Middle-aged married couple Don (Stanley Tucci) and Janna (Patricia Clarkson) are torn apart by their daughter’s accidental death. No longer able to relate to each other, they reconnect when Don begins placing personal ads for Janna to respond to. A favorite supporting actress in the American independent film world, Yale-trained actress Patricia Clarkson began her career on the New York stage before a false start in mainstream pictures gave way to a prolific career as a favorite on the film festival circuit. John Brennan.

A Brennan nomination would draw heavy fire from some of Obama’s most loyal supporters. Indeed, there might well be enough concentrated firepower there defeat the nomination in the Senate. On March 11, 2003, the White House announced that John O. Brennan “will become director of the Terrorist Threat Integration Center when it begins operations May 1, 2003. Brennan, the current CIA deputy executive director, is a career CIA terrorism analyst with a background in Middle Eastern affairs. Marc Ambinder reported Thursday evening that former National Counterrorism Center head John Brennan is Barack Obama’s “favorite to be nominated director of the Central Intelligence Agency.” Controversial Brennan backs harsh tactics, has contractor ties. The withdrawal of John Brennan, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center and the top intelligence advisor to Obama, complicates the next administration’s desire to have a smooth transition on intelligence matters at a time when U.S. spy agencies are involved in two wars and confront the ongoing threat of Al Qaeda.

Palindrome.

Palindrome: a word, phrase or sentence that reads the same backward as forward. Palindromes are words or phrases that read the same in both directions, e.g. EYE,orRACECAR, or MADAM I’M ADAM. The word palindrome is derived from the Greek palíndromos, meaning running back again (palín = AGAIN + drom–, drameîn = RUN). A palindrome is a word or phrase which reads the same in both directions. A palindromic number or numeral palindrome is a ’symmetrical’ number like 16461, that remains the same when its digits are reversed. The term palindromic is derived from palidrome, which refers to a word like rotor that remains unchanged under reversal of its letters.

ReserveAmerica.

Rather than waste any more of my time speaking to Reserve America’s disrespectful, rude employees, I decided to use my angry energy constructively and put up a website where frustrated customers can vent their frustrations about RA. ReserveAmerica is the largest provider of campsite reservations in North America facilitating over 4 million transactions per year. Ballston Spa, NY – May 30, 2007 – ReserveAmerica, the United States’ leading recreation reservation service, and Outside magazine, the voice of America’s active lifestyle, have formed a strategic marketing and advertising alliance. Reserve America is also a leading provider of campground management tools to government and private campground operators offering clients comprehensive reservation systems including: website development, dedicated call-center services, database management tools, local campground management software, and marketing services. Barry Diller is making good on his promise to start selling parts of IAC’s “emerging business” segment, as community sports site operator The Active Network has acquired ReserveAmerica.
